Wagyu

Having originated in Northern China, Wagyu migrated to Japan via the Korean peninsula in the second century A.D. Due to their impressive endurance, the Japanese used them to assist with rice cultivation, mining, forestry, and transportation. These activities promoted the development of beef with more intramuscular fat cells to act as an energy source, giving Wagyu the incredible marbling the breed is known for. Our herd is around 50% pureblood and fullblood Wagyu, and we have seedstock as well as finishers.

Red Devon

Native to southwestern England and the county of Devon, Red Devon cattle are a docile breed known for their red ruby coats that are thick and curly in the winter and short and smooth in the summer. Having the thickest hide of any cattle breed in the world, Red Devons adapt easily to changing climates and temperature extremes. Their hardiness, in combination with their ability to thrive on rough forage, make them an excellent breed to finish on grass. Our herd is around 25% Red Devons, and we have them in our seedstock as well as finishers.
